On the eve of the 80th anniversary of Vorkuta, a working meeting was held between the Head of the Komi Republic, Vladimir Uyb, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the AEON Corporation, Roman Trotsenko, with the participation of RTDA General Director Marina Lepeshkina. At the meeting, issues of development of social infrastructure and the urban environment of Vorkuta were discussed.

The main topic was the preparation of a master plan for the transpolar city, work on which is being carried out by an interdisciplinary team of experts under the direction of RTDA. During its elaboration, the wishes of Vorkuta residents for the improvement and construction of new social facilities, as well as the climatic features of the territory and the unique architecture of Vorkuta will be considered. The master plan is scheduled to be completed in 2024.
